Salma Hayek hasn’t traded in her independence just because she married a billionaire businessman, this hot celebrity is a self-made woman.

Covering the November 2011 issue of Redbook, the “Desperado” actress
explained, "I work hard, I make my own living and I love it. I like having financial independence. I don't ever want to have to depend on anyone completely. But when I have troubles sometimes, it's nice to have someone there to help."


Hayek also noted that she and hubby Francois-Henri Pinault are both into dressing each other up. "I like to play fashion with him, but I'm nobody's Barbie."

"I liked the idea of doing a movie that Valentina could see, since there are many I’ve done that she is too young to see, and a few I’d probably never want her to. I’m a watchdog when it comes to what she can and cannot see."

"‘I’m playing the queen of a drug cartel in an Oliver Stone film,’ says Hayek. “He asked if I’d gone ‘all soft’ because I’m a mother. I said ‘Yes, but I can be the devil if I need to, because after all, I’m an actress.’”

"I’ll tell you, there is nothing better in life than being a late bloomer. I believe that success can happen at any time and at any age. Salma Hayek's Husband Speaks Out About Child Support Case

Salma Hayek and her super duper rich husband Francois-Henri Pinault have kept mum on the child support issue between him and supermodel Linda Avengelista.

Avangelista is claiming that Pinault has been "paying zero" towards raising their now 4-year-old son, Augustine. She's claiming $46,000 a month in child support...insane!

Pinault has finally decided to stand up and say something regarding the issue to the current French issue of Elle:

"He is totally integrated within my family" says Pinault, adding that his relationship has extended to his sister Valentina, the child Pinault fathered with Hayek in 2007.

Augustine was born in 2006, more than eight months after Pinault separated from Avangelist and around the same time he began dating Hayek. He and Hayek later married in 2009.

The amount of money she's asking for is crazy but he's so rich he can afford it. I also hope that he really is taking that little boy & being apart of his life. Not too cheesy & all but money can't take the place of love.

Baby Drama: Selma Hayek's Husband Fathered Linda Evangelista's Son!

It's true...Salma Hayek's billionaire husband, Francois-Henri Pinault, fathered model Linda Evangelista's son!

According to the New York Post, news that the French billionaire is indeed the father of Evangelista's 4-year-old son, Augustin 'Augie' James, came to light when she went to family court to try to figure out a child support agreement.

Francois and Salma began dating in 2006 but it wasn't all smooth sailing for the couple because they took a small break, which is exactly when Francois and Evangelista conceived the child. Evangelista's son was born in October 2006, and she refused to name the father at the time. Meanwhile, Salma Hayek and Francois's daughter Valentina was born in September 2007.

Francois and Salma were married in 2009. Francois-Henri Pinualt, is the CEO of the $28 billion fashion group that owns Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Yves St. Laurent...aka: he's fucking rich!

Unfortunately, no agreement could be reached in regards to the child support so it looks like they'll be headed for a support trial in the fall.

Sucks for Salma. I mean, I know they were on a "break" (which totally brings me back to Ross & Rachel days, ha ha) but I don't think you ever expect your boyfriend to get a chick pregnant during that time, maybe a few make-out sessions or a {safe sex} fling but not a kid.

I would also like to add that Evangelista's son looks more like a little girl than Salma's daughter...he needs a hair cut. That. Is. All.
