Evangeline Lilly Signs On To 'The Hobbit'

Lost alum Evangeline Lilly may have just given birth to her son a few months ago but the actress is getting back to work as she's just joined the cast of Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit'.

Jackson took to his Facebook page to announce the good news and wrote:

“Evangeline Lilly will be playing a new character — the Woodland Elf, Tauriel,” Peter wrote. “Her name means ‘daughter of Mirkwood’ and, beyond that, we must leave you guessing! (No, there is no romantic connection to Legolas.) What is not a secret is how talented and compelling an actress Evangeline is; we are thrilled and excited she will be the one to bring our first true Sylvan Elf to life.”

The movie, which is prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy will be released in 2 parts in December 2012 and December 2013.

'Lost' Star Evangeline Lilly Has A Little Boy!

It seems like just yesterday that the world found out the 'LOST' starlet Evangeline Lilly was pregnant and now we find that she's already given birth and looks great!

No word on what the actress and her boyfriend, Norman Kali (who was a production assistant on LOST) have named their baby but what we do know is that it was a boy.

This is the first child for both Lilly and Kali.

LOST Star Evangeline Lilly Is Very Pregnant!

The 'Lost' alum has kept herself pretty low key since the end of the ABC hit show until now. Evangeline Lilly was spotted in Hawaii earlier last week sporting a very large baby bump.

The stars rep has not made a comment on the pregnancy but it's not like anyone's doubting the pregancy, it's pretty obvious.  This will be the first child for 31-year-old Evangeline and boyfriend Norman Kali, who was a production assistant on the show.

Evangeline was previously attached to co-star Dominic Monaghan from 2004-2009.
