Actress Mariska Hargitay Adopts A Son!

It wasn't too long ago that the Law & Order: SVU starlet welcomed an adopted daughter, Amaya Josephine to the family...actually, it was only six months ago and now she's welcomed another baby.

47-year-old Mariska Hargitay and husband Peter Hermann adopted a son, Andrew Nicolas Hargitay Hermann not to long ago. Their new son was born over the summer and the couple claims they never imagined to adopt again so quickly, it just happened.

Hargitay claims they had discussed adopting sometime down the line but within a week of processing their paperwork for the second time, they were able to bring home a son. Lucky for them. Most people have to wait years to just process paperwork.

“We never in a million years thought it would happen this quickly, but something inside of us knew that this was right, and we said, ‘Yes, yes, yes!’” says Hargitay, who is also mom to son August, 5.

“We knew this was our guy. Everything about it felt right. It felt divinely right.”

Hagritay plans on continuing to work four days a week on the NBC hit show. 

I've always been of fan of hers & I'm really happy that these kids were able to be adopted by her but it's just sad to see that people with money can basically buy a baby faster than other people. What can I say, the system really sucks.

'Law & Order: SVU' Gets Two New Detectives!

With Christopher Meloni having left the show and Marika Hargitay having a reduced role in the upcoming 13th season the head honchos have decided to add 2 new cast members.

Who are the lucky actors? Cold Case alum Danny Pino and Chase star Kelli Giddish.

Both actors will play detectives for Special Victims Unit and producer/creator Dick Wolf thinks they'll make a great addition to the hit show.

"I'm very pleased that we have two amazing actors joining the cast. I know this combination will give us the opportunity to explore the world of SVU with new eyes."

I wasn't that big of a fan of Cold Case but Danny Pino is hottie and I never heard of Kelli Giddish but I'll tune in to see how they fit in to the show. I have my fingers crossed that it'll be a smooth transition.

I just have to say, I'm sure glad they decided to not cast Jennifer Love Hewitt or the show would've for sure bombed.

It's Official: Christopher Meloni Is Leaving Law & Order: SVU...NOOOO!

I hoped this day would never ever come but it has...hottie Christopher Meloni is leaving NBC's Law & Order: SVU after 12 seasons.

Meloni played the deliciously handsome and bad ass Detective Elliot Stabler for more than 272 episodes but NBC couldn't get him to resign his contract for a 13th season.  According to TV Line, Meloni officially left the hit show after negotiations fell through between the star and network. 

Series creator Dick Wolf is already searching for a big name replacement but we all know Det. Stabler and his muscles are irreplaceable.

Personally I don't think this shows going to survive (as much as I love it) after Meloni is no longer on there and the talented Mariska Hargitay begins making less and less appearances. Rumor is she's not officially 'leaving' the show but since the adoption of her daughter she will be spending more time with family and less on the show. Her character Detective Olivia Benson may be due for promotion on the show...

A rumor I pray is just that, a rumor, is that casting is looking at replacing her with former 'Ghost Whisperer' star Jennifer Love Hewitt. If this happens, I'm just calling it quits on watching the show.
