Zooey Deschanel & Husband Ben Gibbard Split!

New Girl star Zooey Deschanel and Death Cab for Cutie rocker husband Ben Gibbard have called it quits. 

The pair have yet to comment on their break up but the actresses rep did confirm the news to PEOPLE. 

"It's amicable, it's mutual," a source says of the couple's decision to split. "The intention is to move forward with a divorce."

31-year-old Deschanel and 35-year-old Gibbard married in 2009 near Seattle. 

They made a really cute couple, too bad they couldn't work out their problems. Zooey's super cute though, I doubt she'll have any problem finding a new fella.

Zooey Deschanel Sings National Anthem At World Series!

There's nothing to say other than I totally have a girl crush on her & damn, girl can sing!

New Girl actress-singer-songwriter Zooey Deschanel had the honor of singing our nation anthem at Sunday night's World Series game. She received big cheers from the crowd and I'd like to think it's because she did an amazing job and not just because she didn't forget any of the words *cough* Christina Aguilera & Cyndi Lauper *cough*.

This wasn't Deschanel's first time performing for the MLB, she'd done "God Bless America" for the seventh inning stretch during a National League Championship Series game last October in San Franscisco.

Deshanel tweeted later that night how sorry she was to not have been able to stay and watch the game but had to catch a plane for work the following morning:

"Would have loved to have watched the whole game but I had to catch a plane so I can go to work tomorrow,That's all guys. I'm not a jerk."

Fox Pushes Back 'New Girl' Episodes Until November...

What the hell FOX? This is not cool.

FOX has decided to push back new episodes of their new hit comedy, The New Girl starring Zooey Deschanel until November.

Why? Because they're expanding Simon Cowell's The X-Factor to a full 2 hours vs the hour it currently has for the next three weeks. They also have commitments to the MLB by broadcasting both the American League Championship Series and the World Series so they had to rethink their current scheduling.

The New Girl will return to it's original time-slot beginning November 1, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

This show did so well with it's ratings that it became the first new show of the fall to get it's full season pick-up. Hopefully the numbers won't drop now that they're making the viewers wait for new episodes. Personally I enjoy the show but I'm also very impatient & have a short attention span...

Trailer: Our Idiot Brother

Our Idiot Brother starring Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Rashida Jones looks like a funny and heartfelt movie. It's definitely one I'll be watching in theaters.

The movie is set to be released in theaters August 26.
